Joe Cooch Authors Chapter on “Sustainable Design and Construction” for Virginia CLE®’s 2019 Virginia Construction Law Deskbook

Joseph Cooch has authored a chapter of the recently-released Virginia Construction Law Deskbook, published by Virginia CLE® with contributions from leading construction lawyers state-wide.   Joe’s chapter titled Sustainable Design and Construction addresses the legal and business risks and benefits associated with efforts to improve sustainability in building construction techniques, discusses certification methods and key contract provisions which support those efforts, and offers practice considerations for lawyers counseling developers, owners, designers, and construction professionals engaged in “green” construction.   Flora Pettit is proud of Joe’s inclusion which demonstrates the state-wide reputation and subject matter expertise Flora Pettit attorneys have in this area of law.
