Andrew P. Toney Appointed to UNC Young Alumni Leadership Council
Andrew Toney is a 2014 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He recently had the honor of being appointed to the Young Alumni Leadership Council which is the University’s primary volunteer leadership group for alumni of the 10 most recent undergraduate classes at UNC. The Council, which is modeled after the University’s Board of Visitors, exists to cultivate and enhance the connection between Carolina and its recent graduates. The Council serves as a pipeline to introduce young alumni with engagement opportunities in Chapel Hill and beyond, and it advocates for the interests of recent graduates to the University. Council members serve a two-year term, with an optional third year.
Andrew has been active in the University’s alumni association since 2014. In early 2019, Andrew co-founded the Upper Cleveland Old Well Scholars’ Award, an initiative designed to provide continuing monetary support and mentorship to UNC matriculants from rural North Carolina.
