Liz Southall focuses her practice on litigation in the areas of family law, real estate, local government law, intentional torts, and negligence. She has litigated and resolved matters involving real property disputes, trucking and motor vehicle accidents, fraud, business torts, breach of contract, premises liability, and municipal liability. Liz also enjoys advising and representing school boards, local government entities, and their employees in claims involving civil rights violations, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and state statutory violations.
A native of Amelia County, Liz received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree from University of Richmond School of Law, where she was a teaching assistant, served on the Editorial Board of the University of Richmond Law Review, and graduated cum laude. Following law school, Liz clerked for judges of the Richmond Circuit Court in the 13th Judicial Circuit of Virginia before returning to Charlottesville to practice law.
Liz spends her spare time trying to tire out her two Labrador Retrievers. She enjoys reading, sort of likes running, and really, really likes mowing her lawn.
