Mike Derdeyn's practice focuses on the areas of real estate litigation, commercial litigation, construction, employment, and general business law.
Mike’s litigation experience includes litigating claims for individuals and businesses in the areas of real estate (including actions to quiet title, boundary disputes, and easement disputes), construction, landlord-tenant, commercial disputes, and will contests.
Mike regularly presents at continuing legal education seminars on real estate litigation issues. Mike also prepares and presents the annual real estate case law review for both the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Bar Association.
Mike provides general counsel services to a number of local businesses, including private schools, general contractors, physician practices, residential and commercial property owners, property managers, developers, and non-profit entities. Mike advises his clients on a variety of matters, including employment counseling, leasing, negotiating and drafting contracts and easements, and risk management.
