Scott M. Raney Joins Lenhart Pettit
Lenhart Pettit is very pleased to announce that Scott M. Raney has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Scott will be a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Finance and Development practice group, practicing in the Charlottesville office.
A native of Virginia Beach and a proud and enthusiastic graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, Raney worked three years in the management training program for Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. in Charlottesville, before deciding to attend law school. He received his J.D. cum laude in May 2013 from the Paul H. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University. After law school, Scott worked in a small firm in Baton Rouge and a large multi-state firm in New Orleans, where he had broad-based transactional and litigation practices, involving construction law, real property rights, commercial real estate, trademark, breach of contract, franchise law and insurance, among other areas.
The call of their Virginia roots brought Scott and his wife Liz, along with sons Scotty and Wyn back to Charlottesville and ultimately, Scott to Lenhart Pettit.
