Richard Howard-Smith Completes 4th Edition of Choosing a Virginia Business Entity

Richard Howard-Smith recently completed editing the 2015 (4th) edition of Choosing a Virginia Business Entity, published by Virginia Continuing Legal Education Publications, a book he previously co-authored and has edited several times over the past decade. The book is intended primarily for lawyers and CPAs, and is a wide-ranging overview of the main purposes of business entities, the various types of business entities, the main features and differences of each types, and a thorough overview of the major income tax considerations and differences among the various business entities that can be employed in most business endeavors. Richard is a tax attorney with the firm, practicing primarily in the areas of estate planning and administration, business organizations and transactions, charitable planned giving, taxation, tax-exempt organizations, and general business work.
