Andrew Stockment Receives Emerson G. Spies Award
On January 25, 2013, at the 123rd Annual Meeting of The Virginia Bar Association in Williamsburg, Virginia, Andrew Stockment was presented with the Emerson G. Spies Award for enthusiasm, loyalty, and dedication to the work of the VBA. Andrew Stockment, along with Virginia Flynn, received the award in recognition for creating Opening Statement, the official newsletter of the VBA Young Lawyers Division. Andrew is the founding Editor-in-Chief and Production Editor of Opening Statement, and Virginia is the Managing Editor. The Virginia Bar Association was founded in 1888 and is the independent voice of the Virginia lawyer, advancing the highest ideals of the profession through advocacy and volunteer service.
